Pia Sundhage has proven once again that she's not playing mind games and toying around with the media, as she has selected Lori Lindsey to start over seemingly automatic starter Shannon Boxx. The U.S. women's coach did the exact same thing in the first game, when she hinted that Lauren Cheney would start over Megan Rapinoe, which was proven to be true. Boxx is one of the team's most senior members, but she looked very tired in the first match against North Korea, and Lindsey, who had a great 2010 for the Philadelphia Independence, should provide some fresh legs. Here are the lineups for the USWNT and Colombia.
United States lineup: Solo; Rampone, LePelibet, Rodriguez, O'Reilly, Lloyd, Krieger, Cheney, Lindsey, Buehler, Wambach
Colombia lineup: Sandra; Natalia, Diana, Nataly, Catalina, Carmen, Liana, Yulieth, Kelis, Katerin, Fatima
The United States clinches a place in the quarterfinals with a win, while Colombia needs a draw to stay alive. If Colombia fail to win, Sweden will qualify for the quarterfinals. If Colombia do not avoid a loss, North Korea will be eliminated.
