Baker Mayfield was the spark the Browns needed to claim their first victory in 635 days. It was a 21-17 win over the Jets on Thursday Night Football, that will most likely begin Mayfield’s reign as the starting quarterback in Cleveland.
After Terrance Mitchell’s game-sealing interception on Sam Darnold, Browns fans — and even fans of rival teams — were celebrating Cleveland’s first win since December 24, 2016.
Mayfield’s former head coach was certainly happy for him, while remembering back to the day when his quarterback planted an Oklahoma flag on the field at Ohio State. Fans in Ohio hated Mayfield in that moment, but they love him in Cleveland now.
Hey bud-

Bet they forgive you for planting the flag now-
Congrats @bakermayfield #OUDNA

Myles Garrett had two sacks in the win and kept it simple in his reaction after the game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were represented at the game as J.R. Smith was celebrating shirtless in the stands, as promised.
"Browns win tonight, I'm taking my shirt off AGAIN!"

JR Smith kept his promise

LeBron James congratulated the Browns from afar.

Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson wasn’t so happy about the Browns stealing the Philly Special.
And y'all had the name of it be Philly Special, @bakermayfield!?! C'mon man!
— Lane Johnson (@LaneJohnson65) September 21, 2018
But he was happy for Mayfield.
Salute to Baker though - congrats on the first W. Welcome to the league @bakermayfield #boomer

This reaction is a bit hard to follow from Darrelle Revis.
I guess it takes the greatest athlete in the history of Cleveland sports to take his talents west to Los Angeles for the Browns to finally get their first win of the season. All Cleveland natives should be thanking Lebron for their first win! #thankstolebron

Vikings safety George Iloka just wanted to see the fridges open.
Someone drop a live-link of the Bud Light fridges opening up in Cleveland. I know their fans too lit right now lol

Somehow, WWE’s Mike Mizanin, AKA The Miz, had his own Bud Light victory fridge. He’s a life-long Browns fan.
“Did they open the bud light things” -Baker Mayfield

Yes Baker. YES THEY DID.
Dilly Dilly to all and to all a goodnight. #ClevelandThisBudIsForYou@Browns pic.twitter.com/VsF0EiRLKo
Overseas, Browns fan in London — named, as it were, Paul Brown — even popped open a bottle of champagne:

Rams punter Johnny Hekker let out a “Dilly, Dilly” in honor of the win.
Dilly dilly Cleveland.

And his Rams teammate Ogbo Okoronkwo was ready to back Mayfield after the game, too.
We been knew Baker was cold, y’all trippin trippin..
— Ogbo Okoronkwo (@OgboOkoronkwo) September 21, 2018
Even AFC North rivals were giving it up for the Browns.
— Preston Brown (@PB_Number2) September 21, 2018
That includes Bengals running back, and Mayfield’s former Oklahoma teammate Joe Mixon.
Hold on bake boi
