Above is the first installment in the UFC 131 Dana White video blog series. This video is shorter than the typical contribution, but has a lot more in it. This edition of the blog follows White to the E3 expo where he made the announcement XBox Live would now carry live UFC events (in addition to a few more bells and whistles that allow users to interact on the platform) through the XBox console. The footage also shows him backstage at UFC 130 and meeting celebrities also in attendance at E3. There's also TUF 14 coaches Jason 'Mayhem' Miller and Michael Bisping giving predictions for the Shane Carwin vs. Junior dos Santos fight.
Most interestingly, there's footage of White meeting several NFL stars including Sam Bradford, the retired Warren Sapp and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. While I'm sure these types of passing exchanges happen all too frequently for White, it did appear as if White and Vick would try to set up something for more exposure at UFC 133, which takes in Philadelphia in August.
Speaking on NFL players liking MMA, here's a L.A. Times article about NFL players training in MMA during the current lockout to stay in shape. It's more a story to promote Jay Glazer's business, but growth in MMA's profile is nothing to scoff at.
