New Orleans Saints receiver Brandin Cooks will play against the Carolina Panthers. He suffered an ankle injury in Week 2, but he put in a full practice this week and is listed as probable.
It hasn't been a great year for Cooks. In his two games, he's totaled just 111 yards and nine receptions in the two losses. That's not even the bad news, though. Quarterback Drew Brees will not play in this one, which means it'll be backup QB Luke McCown under center for this division game. The Panthers are going to be after McCown throughout, which is bad news for an offensive line already struggling to protect Brees.
Fantasy impact: It stinks to have to bench a guy you probably took as a top-15 receiver, but the Saints might not be able to score any touchdowns at all. He's not even really a buy-low player right now unless it's for a bench-type guy.
