Missouri receiver Jared Perry caught a huge 38-yard pass in the final minute of the first half to help set the game’s only touchdown four plays later. The Tigers drove the ball down to the 1-yard line where they faced a 4th and Goal. Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel pulled one out of the Les Miles’ playbook and decided to go for it.
Blaine Gabbert faked to Derrick Washington and then dove for the goal line, fumbling in the process. The touchdown call stood and the Tigers take a 9-0 lead into the half.
