#18 LB Rahmon Swain
Senior, 6'0", 222 lbs.
Stats in 2013: Swain played in all 12 games and made eight tackles, including a season-high three in the season finale against Rutgers.
Spot On Preseason Depth Chart: Second-string weakside linebacker behind Nigel Harris.
How did he come to USF: Swain originally committed to Kent State out of high school, then elected to enroll at Butler County Community College in Kansas, where he racked up 140 tackles in two seasons. He chose the Bulls in 2012 over an impressive list of offers including Texas A&M, Kansas State, Mississippi State and Boise State.
Recruiting Rankings: Rivals and 247 both gave him three stars coming out of Butler County.
Projected Playing Time in 2014: Quite a bit, especially in the Bulls' new 3-4 defense where linebackers will be more important than ever. This is a young defense, and any and all experience will be invaluable. Swain should get plenty of time both in the linebacker rotation and on special teams.
Fun Fact: Rahmon's nickname is "Rock." ROCK SWAIN.
