How did he come to USF: By getting around a big obstacle called leukemia. Robb was born with a condition called acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a cancer of the white blood cells. It's treatable with chemotherapy, but because he had to be treated at such a young age (nine months), he only had about a fifty percent chance of survival. But survive he did. Robb now leads a normal life, except for occasional blood work, and upper body scars from where injections had to be administered.
Recruiting Rankings: Not listed. Robb walked on to USF from Tampa Catholic.
Projected Playing Time in 2014: Robb will probably continue to play on special teams.
Fun Fact: Not much would top Tyler Robb's medical success story, so here's a funny quote from his doctor: "Great, we save his life and you let him play football."
