Update: Netherlands cruise to 3rd-place playoff win
Brazil and the Netherlands meet on Saturday in the World Cup third place game, otherwise known as the game nobody really wants to be playing in.
For Brazil, the pain and embarrassment of their 7-1 hammering by Germany in the semifinals likely hasn't gone away. Just how focused or conceded they'll be against the Dutch is hard to predict, but chances are they'd like to leave their fans with a positive memory before the tournament comes to a close.
Thiago Silva is expected to return to the defense after serving a card accumulation suspension. Luiz Felipe Scolari could made several changes, including bringing Willian, Dani Alves and Marcelo back into the lineup.
The Dutch can finish out their World Cup campaign with an undefeated record if they avoid a loss against Brazil. All of Louis van Gaal's players are available for selection, but there's a good chance he'll give Michael Vorm his first start of the tournament. Nigel de Jong will probably drop to the bench to ensure he doesn't re-aggravate his groin injury ahead of the club season.
