#50 LB Hans Louis
Redshirt Senior, 6'0", 215 lbs
Stats in 2013: After falling out of favor with Skip Holtz in 2012 and not playing a snap, Louis rebounded in 2013 with 19 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in 11 games. He missed the season finale with a torn ACL.
Where was he on the 2013 Depth Chart: Not listed at the end of the season, likely because of his injury. Hans backed up DeDe Lattimore at middle linebacker for most of the season.
How did he come to USF: From Chaminade Madonna Prep in Fort Lauderdale. He originally committed to Marshall, but made a late switch to the Bulls.
Recruiting Rankings: Rivals and Scout both gave Louis two stars. He chose USF over West Virginia, Marshall and Toledo, among others.
Projected Playing Time: It's difficult to tell. The Bulls have an open spot at middle linebacker with the departure of Lattimore and will be playing more 3-4 this season, so playing time is there for the taking. But Louis missed spring practice with an injury, and he'll have to fend off younger players like Zack Bullock and Auggie Sanchez, as well as a handful of talented incoming freshmen. Still, there should be plenty of snaps for him, just as there were in 2013.
