The Colorado Avalanche has signed forwards T.J. Galiardi and Patrick Rissmiller to one-year deals.
Galiardi's deal is for $700,000, and is a one-way deal. His 2010-11 contract was for $875,000, but that was a two-way deal that paid him less for time spent in the minors.
Galiardi, 23, played in 35 games for the Avalanche in 2010-11, scoring seven goals and eight assists. He also missed significant chunks of time with wrist problems, although the Avalanche say he should report to camp in good health. He has 58 career points in 116 games.
The Avalanche also signed forward Patrick Rissmiller to a one-year, two-way contract worth $525,000 at the NHL level. Rissmiller, 32, played 10 games in 2010-2011 with the Thrashers and Panthers. The last time he saw significant NHL action was in 2007-2008 with the San Jose Sharks, so he'll probably simply provide depth for the Avalanche.
