WLTX reports Holloman was tripped up at a safety checkpoint routinely establish to nab drivers who have been drinking late at night.
Officials say Holloman was taken into custody at a safety checkpoint near Bluff Road and George Rogers Boulevard. He was one of 12 people taken into custody at that same check point according to the Highway Patrol.
No word on what kind of punishment Holloman faces from the school for his arrest. On Friday, South Carolina cornerback Victor Hampton was dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules. Hampton had been caught with alcohol shortly after he made it official and signed with the Gamecocks.
