The Tampa Bay Lightning kept their scoring ways going in Game 1 against the Washington Capitals on Friday night, but heading into Sunday evening's Game 2, they'll be without Simon Gagne for the entire contest. With all due respect to 24 year old forward Blair Jones, he doesn't exactly have the pedigree that Gagne does when it comes to playoff scoring.
So how will the Lightning be able to keep up the attack with Gagne out? For starters, they'll need continued contributions from the third line of Steve Downie, Sean Bergenheim and Dominic Moore. They were successful in Game 1 and when they're rolling, they add another layer to the offense behind the big guns of Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis and Steven Stamkos. There are plenty of threats at Guy Boucher's disposal, even without Gagne
For the Capitals, they hope to have young stud defenseman John Carlson back in the lineup for Game 2. Carlson left the game on Friday night after a colliding with Nate Thompson.
It's Dwayne Roloson vs. Michal Neuvirth in goal yet again. The game is on Versus and CBC at 7 p.m. ET. For more, check with our Lightning vs. Capital hub, as well as with our blogs: Japers' Rink covering the Capitals and Raw Charge covering the Lightning.
