After an overtime win in Game 1, the San Jose Sharks head into Game 2 on a high. For the Detroit Red Wings, they know they need to kick their offense into another gear if they want to come out on top and even the series.
Despite taking a 1-0 lead in Game 1, the Wings were generally unable to create much offense over the course of the game, and as a result, the Sharks were slowly able to take over the game. Joe Pavelski scored in the third period to tie the score before Benn Ferriero, the birthday boy, won it in overtime.
It's a 12 p.m. start in San Jose -- 3 p.m. ET -- for the Sharks and Wings, so it'll be interesting to see how that impacts the game. Antti Niemi is in goal for the Sharks, while it's Jimmy Howard in again for Detroit. For more on the series, check in with our blogs: Winging It In Motown on the Wings and Fear The Fin on the Sharks.
