The first round of the 2011 NFL draft went completely as predicted and by that I mean it was completely unpredictable. There were trades (hello, Atlanta), surprise picks, great picks and, as we will find out in the future, bad picks as well. The key for teams now is to re-evaluate who remains on the board and set your day two priorities.
So let's take a look at Mocking The Draft's best remaining players for round 2: DE Da'Quan Bowers, CB Brandon Harris, QB Ryan Mallett, RB Ryan Williams, TE Kyle Rudolph, QB Andy Dalton, DE Sam Acho, LB Bruce Carter, DE Brooks Reed and WR Titus Young.
Bowers is easily the biggest boom or bust player on the board as he was considered a potential No. 1 overall pick during the college football season before knee injuries cropped up. I'm curious to see where Mallett goes because he's sort of like Bowers in that he's a boom or bust kind of guy. Rudolph is the best tight end in the draft so someone will get a steal there.
A few other names I wouldn't forget: DT Stephen Paea, DE Jabaal Sheard, CB Aaron Williams, LB Akeem Ayers and DE Justin Houston. I wouldn't have thought twice if any of those guys were drafted in the first round so there are some good values out there in round 2.
