For the sake of the NBA Playoffs, it would be really, really awesome if none of the stars for the Chicago Bulls or the New York Knicks got injured tonight. I think that is something that all basketball fans would enjoy. So, for the love of [deity of your choosing], I hope that Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose stay on the bench for most of tonight's game (8 pm ET, TNT).
Both the Bulls and Knicks are locked into their playoff seeds, so they're probably just giving their benches an extended look and playing for pride tonight at Madison Square Garden. The Bulls still have No. 1 overall in the NBA to play for, but it's possible that the punishment Rose took in the Bulls' game against Orlando over the weekend scared Tom Thibodeau enough to rest his MVP candidate.
The Knicks are without Amar'e Stoudemire, who will likely sit out until the beginning of the postseason. Without him, the Knicks struggle on the boards, and even a Bulls team who gives some rest to their starters would likely have a good advantage over their opponents on the glass.
