On Saturday, No. 2 Kansas will seek to win its fifth Big 12 title in six years. Looking to win their first are the No. 10 Texas Longhorns. The two tip off at 6 p.m. Eastern in Kansas City.
The Jayhawks have advanced this far after edging Oklahoma State on Friday, then surviving Colorado on Saturday night. The Longhorns are fewer than 24 hours removed from a hard-fought 70-68 win over in-state rival Oklahoma State.
Kansas has reason to hold a grudge against its Big 12 rival. The Jayhawks had amassed an undefeated 18-0 record before Texas dealt them a 74-63 upset that also ended their 69-game home winning streak. J'Covan Brown busted free for 29 points, while Kansas was held to 35.9 percent shooting.
