Last month, UConn suffered a home double-overtime loss to Louisville. On Friday night (9 p.m. Eastern, ESPN), the No. 13 Huskies hope to return the favor against their Big East rival at the Yum! Center, where they'll visit the No. 16 Cardinals.
The Huskies are two days removed from a win over No. 9 Georgetown. This is the last shot they'll get against a ranked team until their season finale against No. 8 Notre Dame. UConn boasts one of the best players in the country in Kemba Walker, who leads the team in points (23.2), assists (4.7), and steals (1.9) per game. He struggled somewhat during his last meeting with Louisville -- though he scored 20 points, he shot 7-for-23, including only 2-for-10 from the field.
Louisville's scoring has been more evenly distributed this season. The Cardinals, who are sixth in the nation in assists, are led in dishes by guard Peyton Siva (5.2 per game). They're looking to bounce back from a 63-54 loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday.
Connecticut and Louisville are both 8-5 in the Big East. The winning team will move into a tie for third place in the conference with Georgetown.
