The Denver Broncos traded for RB Laurence Maroney from the New England Patriots this season ending the year with 36 carries for 74 yards. It was a season to forget for the Broncos and now it appears the offseason may be one to forget for Maroney.
According to KMOV in St. Louis, Maroney was arrested on Monday night.
Laurence Maroney, 25, is being held on unlawful weapons charges and drug charges. News 4 confirms he and 3 other men were in a vehicle pulled over by officers late Monday night.
No other information was available on the arrest.
The Broncos have had a handful of players arrested lately including LB D.J. Williams and CB Perrish Cox.
