In a rematch of the 97th Grey Cup, the Montreal Alouettes defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the second straight year, 21-18. Montreal becomes the first team to win back to back titles since the Toronto Argonauts in 1996-97.
Jamel Richardson becomes the Grey Cup MVP with a 8 catch, 109 yard performance while Anthony Cavillo went 29/42 for 336 yards. On the ground, Avon Cobourne ran for 67 yards and two scores. Billy Parker iced the game for the Alouettes with an interception with 1:07 left in the fourth quarter.
For the Roughriders, Darian Durant went 18/31 for 215 yards, with one touchdown and the aforementioned interception. Marc Parenteau, a guard, caught a touchdown while Wes Cates ran for 83 yards and another touchdown.
This is the second straight championship for the Alouettes, as they defeated the Roughriders last year 28-27.
