Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Freshman quarterback Taylor Martinez threw five touchdown passes to lead 14th-ranked Nebraska to a 51-41 victory over No. 17 Oklahoma State.
Martinez was 23-of-35 for 323 yards and totaled 112 yards rushing for the Cornhuskers (6-1, 2-1 Big 12), who were coming off a 20-13 home loss to Texas last weekend in a rematch of last season's conference championship game. Brandon Kinnie caught three passes, all for a touchdown.
Nebraska, which has won seven straight on the road, recorded its first triumph in Stillwater since 1995.
Brandon Weeden completed 18-of-35 passes for 283 yards with two touchdowns, both of them going to Justin Blackmon, and one interception for the Cowboys (6-1, 2-1), who were denied an opportunity to match their second-best start in school history. Oklahoma State won its first seven games in 2008.
Kendall Hunter ran for 201 yards and a pair of scores in the loss.
