After a month-long stint on the disabled list, Astros righthander Bud Norris is ready to return to big league action. The Astros are set to activate him on Monday to face the Milwaukee Brewers, according to USA Today.
Norris (2-5, 6.80 ERA) will fill the roster spot vacated by the Astros' demotion of pitcher Josh Banks to Triple-A Round Rock. Banks allowed six runs over four-plus innings in a 7-2 loss to the Texas Rangers.
Norris had a 3.06 ERA in three rehab starts for the Round Rock Express. He will face Manny Parra on Monday in Milwaukee.
