Shreveport, LA (Sports Network) - Caleb King rushed for two touchdowns and Aron White caught a pair of TDs, as the Georgia Bulldogs used a big second half to rout Texas A&M, 44-20, in the Independence Bowl.
King ran for 61 yards on 16 carries for the Bulldogs (8-5), who were making their 45th all-time bowl appearance. White caught two passes for 26 yards. Shaun Chapas rushed for 43 yards and a score on five carries.
Joe Cox connected on 15-of-28 passes for 157 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception for Georgia, which improved to 26-16-3 in bowl games.
Jerrod Johnson completed 29-of-58 passes for 360 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions for the Aggies (6-7), who were making their 31st bowl appearance. Johnson also rushed for 52 yards on 14 carries.
Christine Michael ran for 78 yards and a score on 15 carries. Howard Morrow and Jamie McCoy each had TD catches for Texas A&M, which was outscored 30-13 in the second half.
