Bears LB Pisa Tinoisamoa is back in a familiar place: the sidelines. In his first game back from injury, Tinoisamoa ended up being carted off the field after damaging cartilage to his right knee - the same knee he injured in the Bears' season opener versus Green Bay.
Tinoisamoa underwent an MRI on Monday but no results have been released. Tinoisamoa's injury only adds to the list of previously injured front seven players for Chicago: notably, Brian Urlacher and Hunter Hillenmeyer.
The eternally serene Lovie Smith, for one, doesn't seem too worried about his defense:
We feel pretty good about our bodies that we have out there right now," Smith said. "Whenever you have a player like Pisa go down, hopefully we can get Hunter to fill back in. Our numbers are still pretty good.
Regardless, the faithful at SBN's Windy City Gridiron are taking no chances in calling for the team to bring in reinforcements:
Queue up the Derrick Brooks rumor mill again. If Pisa is gone and with Hillenmeyer still not back on the field, the depth at linebacker is getting pretty thin around Bears town.
