The Cincinnati Bengals were one of the teams we suggested could think about moving up to the New England Patriots 33rd pick in the draft to ensure that they get the quarterback that they want. ESPN's Bob Holtzman reports that the Bengals are looking at QB Andy Dalton first and "plan B" would be QB Ryan Mallett.
The Bengals are in a tough spot not knowing what the story with QB Carson Palmer is. He says he'll retire if he's not traded but the Bengals didn't appear to be budging from that. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Bengals could change their tune on Palmer if they secure a quarterback they like in the draft.
Bengals owner and president Mike Brown has said he will not trade Palmer, but sources say he may consider it if the team secures a quarterback and gets a favorable trade offer.
This adds a whole new dynamic to the second round of the draft.
