On Saturday, Vanderbilt surprised the SEC with a 28-14 win over Ole Miss in Oxford. An interception in the final minutes sealed the win for the Commodores, who now have their first win under head coach Robbie Caldwell.
This game was decided by the turnover battle, which Vandy won 3-0. They were enough to down Ole Miss, despite having accrued 385 offensive yards to Vanderbilt's 300.
This is the second tough loss of the young season for Ole Miss, who opened with a stunning loss to Jacksonville State in Week 1.
