Remember way back (June 5) when Dontrelle pitched his first game for the D-backs? He pitched six shutout innings and even scored the game-winning run. It's all been downhill since then.
22.1 innings over five starts and one bullpen outing have yielded a 6.85 ERA and a ridiculous 10.9 walks per nine innings. He was moved to the bullpen to face lefties just a few days ago, but I guess the D-backs have seen enough to let him go.
Shame, too. Willis is a great personality in the game and, at one time, one of the brightest young pitching studs. Here's hoping that he can find a way to resurrect his career.

More on Norberto from the Diamondbacks web site:
The 23-year-old posted strong numbers for the Aces, going 3-0 with four saves and a 3.07 ERA. Noberto began the season with Arizona, but struggled to an ERA of 9.00 before being optioned to Triple-A in late April.
