To rehash the headline from the back of the New York Post: New Zealand just beat Slovakia 1-1 to snag their first ever World Cup points, and did so in heart-stopping fashion.
In the fourth minute of four minutes of stoppage time, Shane Smeltz telegraphed a cross into the box for Winston Reid. Reid turned his head and popped a header into goal, giving New Zealand the draw, robbing Slovakia of three points in group, and breaking the Kiwi losing streak in the Cup.
And that is why you watch them all, because sometimes the 6:30 game between Slovakia and New Zealand can turn into the best free theatre of the Cup at what is literally the last minute.
