When you think about the way the injury looked, and to many it looked like a severe ligament situation, this might not be such a bad diagnosis. Still, for Brian Boucher and possibly his team, this is a terrible break.
General manager Paul Holmgren said on Tuesday afternoon that Brian Boucher has a Grade 2 sprain in his left knee and will miss "as much as a month," as reported by Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Flyers will hope that Michael Leighton, who played his first NHL playoff minutes in relief of Boucher in Game 5, can carry the team to an improbable series win and even beyond.
