If you're only a casual golf enthusiast, you probably only vaguely remember Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy from his third-place finish at the PGA Championship last year. Now, without a doubt, he deserves far more attention than that.
After posting a 6-under score in Round 3, McIlroy capped off the Quail Hollow Tournament on Sunday with a 10-under Round 4. This sets a new PGA record -- by two strokes -- for the lowest single-round score at Quail Hollow.
For the tournament, McIlroy shot a score of 273, one shy of the record set by Anthony Kim in 2008. Regardless, he has all but secured his first PGA Tour win.
Oh, and one more thing: he doesn't turn 21 until Tuesday. Celebrate with root beer, young man!
